What Should You Bring for a DJ Session?
Bring your own headphones and prepare the music and setup you want to use before your DJ session.
You can mix directly from a USB drive on the CDJs or bring your own computer and DJ software such as Rekordbox, Serato or Traktor.
In short
- Bring your own wired headphones.
- If you mix directly on the CDJs from a USB drive, prepare your tracks with Rekordbox first.
- If you mix from a computer, bring your laptop and prepare your DJ software before the session.
- Bring your own USB hub or adapters if your computer does not have enough compatible ports.
- If you bring additional equipment, also bring the cables needed to connect it.
Bring your own headphones
Headphones are not provided in the DJ studios. Bring your own wired pair.
You can use headphones with a 3.5 mm or 6.35 mm jack.
If you mix directly from a USB drive
If you want to mix directly from a USB drive on the CDJs, make sure your tracks have been prepared with Rekordbox before your session.
Check your USB drive and its contents before coming to the studio so you do not lose time at the start of your session.
If you mix with your computer
You can bring your own computer and use DJ software such as Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor or another application suited to your setup.
Computers are not provided in the studios. Install and configure your software before your session.
The CDJs and DJM provide USB connections for linking your computer to the DJ equipment.
Plug The Jack does not provide USB hubs. If your computer does not have enough USB ports or requires an adapter, bring your own hub or adapters.
If you use a Mac
To use the CDJ-3000 with a Mac, install the CDJ-3000 Aggregator Tool before your session.

Which cables are already available?
The cables required to connect the standard DJ setup are already in the studio.
The USB connections on the equipment are also available for connecting your computer.
If your computer does not have enough ports or requires a different connector, bring your own hub or adapter.
If you bring extra equipment, also bring the cables required to connect it.
Before coming to the studio
Check your headphones, USB drive or computer, DJ software, any required drivers and the adapters you may need.
Your setup will then be ready when your session starts.
