How to Record Your DJ Set

You can record your DJ set in different ways. Two practical options are recording with Rekordbox or directly from a compatible DJM mixer using DJM-REC.

The recording described here is made from the DJM mixer installed in our DJ studios, which you can book by the hour.

Two options

  1. Record your set with Rekordbox on your computer.
  2. Use DJM-REC with a compatible DJM mixer.

Option 1: record with Rekordbox

If you use Rekordbox during your session, you can record your set from your computer.

Use our step-by-step guide to set up the recording correctly and locate the file after your session.

Option 2: record with DJM-REC

On compatible mixers, including the DJM-A9 and DJM-V10, you can also use the DJM-REC app to record the mixer output directly.

For this method, use a compatible iPhone or iPad with DJM-REC and connect it according to the app and mixer instructions.

Test before recording the full set

Whichever method you choose, make a short test recording first, play it back and check the level before starting your full set.
