How to Prepare Your Recording Session
The recording and production studios include the main studio equipment. You bring your own computer and recording software.
Bring these items
- your laptop;
- your DAW, for example Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Reaper, Pro Tools or other recording software;
- the required Focusrite software and drivers;
- any USB-C/USB adapters required by your computer;
- anything specific to your project that is not listed in the equipment of your chosen studio.
Install Focusrite Control before your session
The studio uses a Focusrite Clarett+ 4Pre audio interface. Install Focusrite Control and the required drivers before coming to the studio.

Prepare your DAW
Install your DAW and open it at least once before your session. Also check licences, plugins and available storage space.
This avoids losing studio time to downloads, updates or activations.
Check your connections
The Focusrite connects directly to your computer by USB. Do not use a USB hub for the audio interface.
If your computer only has USB-C or another connector, bring the appropriate adapter.
Check the equipment in your studio
The exact equipment can vary by studio type. Check the equipment listed for the studio you book.
