How to Record Your Rehearsal
The rehearsal studios are not designed for full multitrack production in the same way as a recording studio.
You can still record your session to review your work, track progress or share the rehearsal with the other band members.
The recording described here is made from the mixing desk installed in our rehearsal studios, which you can book by the hour.
Two options
- Bring your own external recorder.
- Use one or more microphones and record on your computer through the USB mixing console.
Option 1: use an external recorder
The simplest way to keep a recording of your rehearsal is to bring your own portable recorder.
Place it in the studio and record the rehearsal as a whole.
This gives you a quick reference recording without having to configure your computer or DAW.
Option 2: record on your computer
You can also use one or more microphones and record on your computer using the USB mixing console as an audio interface.
Prepare your computer and recording software before your session.
This solution is suitable for capturing a rehearsal, but a rehearsal studio is not a multitrack production studio.
